Craig Jeffrey
Craig Jeffrey has been in the public eye for a relatively short time, but this young man is surely going places. Craig is a singer/songwriter, playing acoustic 6 and 12 string guitar, as well as harmonica. For Craig, it all began after he won a radio competition in 2006. The prize was to open for Paulo Nutini in Kelso. Despite being a little nervous about walking on stage in front of hundreds of people, Craig gave a blistering performance and the audience took to him immediately. Shortly afterwards, he was asked to sign an album deal, and he also recorded a charity single which continues to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Care, and which has been played several times on ITV's “Emmerdale”. Craig has had airplay on several radio stations around the UK, and has featured in many newspaper articles. He has appeared on the same bill as The Undertones, Sandi Thom, The MacDonald Brothers and The Hayseed Dixies. From the early days playing in local pubs, Craig has steadily gained in popularity, now playing in such places as St. Andrew's Square in Edinburgh, along with festivals including Innerleithen, Selkirk, Loch Lomond and The Wickerman Main Acoustic Stage. His latest claim to fame is winning a Danny Award on Sunday 1st February 2009 at Celtic Connections in Glasgow. His appearances at the Danny Kyle Open Stage Event had the crowd calling for more. Craig is now guaranteed appearances at next year's prestigious Celtic Connections Festival. (see News page for more information on Craig's win). Craig is available for a variety of venues and events, from theatres to festivals, both home and abroad. For more details of fees and availability please contact us.
