Donnie Munro

Donnie Munro is one of Scotland's legends. From his days as lead singer with Runrig, to the present day fronting his own band, Donnie has thrilled audiences far and wide with his unique voice and style. Today, having assembled some of Scotland's finest musicians around him, Donnie continues to provide the very best in entertainment value. With a good mix of material, from the Runrig back catalogue to more traditional songs, along with songs penned by Donnie himself, audiences continue to be captivated by Donnie's charisma and vivacity on stage. Some songs are presented in English, some in Gaelic – but all with Donnie's belief and passion. You will also, no doubt, be treated to Donnie's usual anecdotes and stories on stage.

The CD "Heart of America" won CD of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards in 2006, and "An Turas - The Journey" was the top-selling CD of 2008 on the eminent Greentrax record label.

The talented band comprises Chris Harley, Foss Paterson/Allan Cuthbertson, Morph Dobie, Chaz Stewart, Jim Drummond and Dougie Coulter. Each of these musicians is exceptional in his own field and has a wealth of musical experience.

The Donnie Munro Band is available for a variety of venues and events, from theatres to festivals, both home and abroad. For more details of fees and availability please contact us.
